ORGATEC 2016

Sedus at the Orgatec 2016

The theme for this year’s Orgatec is, “Creativity works”, and the Sedus display at the exhibition adopts this topic with enthusiasm. The international office furnisher and leading ergonomics expert will be showcasing creative and up-to-date office environments on its 1,300 m² stand in Hall 8.

With its challenge “Create rooms with personality”, Sedus is inviting visitors on a “Discovery Tour”. The exciting architecture of the stand creates an attractive atmosphere of well-being which can be experienced by each of our senses. The most varied office environments are demonstrated in a series of organic layouts - environments which meet the needs and demands of work-people on the move. Organisational solutions which are both sophisticated and “needs-orientated” can be selected at will, and offer creative freedom, both for teams, and individual users.

Inspired by Nature and working in close collaboration with leading lighting designers of Consuline in Milan and the Zürich-based architecture and design company Evolution Design, Sedus has developed a spatial concept in which the human abilities of spatial perception and orientation come into play. It is shaped by cell structures, which creates a harmonious lay-out, linking the styling of the furniture, a range of working areas, and the intervening open space. A semi-transparent veil reminiscent of a membrane envelops the stand; the open, cell-like internal structure forms the framework for the various “conference and training”, “informal working and relaxation”, “workplace and concentration,” and “meeting and collaboration” areas.

In terms of products, the stand offers much that is new and which can be supplied immediately after the exhibition. These new products include the se:do swivel chair, the se:line conference chair, the se:wall moveable wall and screen system, the se:works lounge furniture system, the grand slam z cabinet programme and the ci temptation desk, with its new fitments and equipment.

And then there is a world premiere: the entire stand is equipped with cordless charging points and Qi technology. The visitor can use these not only to charge his smartphone wirelessly but also his lap-top, experiencing for himself how these innovative technologies can also be used to achieve an efficient office design and use of space. The office-worker of the future will use his smartphone for information on the current use of various office areas, the nearest accessible and optimally equipped work station, as well as where he can meet his or her colleagues.

In the exhibition boulevard immediately opposite Hall 8 Sedus is presenting its extensive service programme “Sedus ergo+” which is primarily aimed at the end-user and assists the employer to incorporate sustainable prevention into the workplace. With a personal advisory service, by its team of experts, Sedus ergo+ offers an all-round prevention package for all office-workers.

Sedus at Orgatec from 25 to 29.10.2016 in Cologne. The Sedus stand is in hall 8, aisle B stand 50.
