23 April 2008 was a symbolic day for Sedus, as it saw ground broken and heralded the start of the construction works on the new Sedus Research and Development centre.
The approx. 1000 m2 site will centre on a three-storey structure creating around 3000 m2 of office, workshop and laboratory space altogether, in which the Sedus developers (designers, draughtsmen, prototype engineers and laboratory technicians) and strategic buyers will be delighted to discover new modern and inspiring surroundings.
The new building, designed by Jens Ludloff (Ludloff + Ludloff Architekten, Berlin), is due to be completed in May 2009 and will provide space for 30 workstations. The total cost of the project is expected to run to approximately € 7 million.
