Engagement is an outcome of diversity and inclusion, and this is when the diversity of thinking will come out.

         “Business Chemistry" (8) identifies four user profiles - the pioneer, the guardian, the driver and the integrator - to describe and collect different work styles and how they interact. Knowing how to recognise these styles in the employees’ behaviours and how to compose the right mix of profiles in a team, not only offers the promise of better performance but also an opportunity for everyone in the team to feel comfortable whilst working and so free to be their real selves.

The collaboration of a well-balanced group of diverse individuals (in terms of age, gender, background, culture, etc.), harnesses the full potential of different work styles, approaches to thinking and problem solving. Collective intelligence is maximised when everyone has a voice and can contribute equally.
Recognising the value of each identity and managing its effective contribution through inclusion, supporting the positive contribution of different opinions and a variety of perspectives can also be a powerful driver of engagement for employees and therefore innovation and success for the company.
