The Limbic® Types were developed by a group called Nymphenburg Consult AG, based on comprehensive research conducted by neurologists and psychologists such as Dr. Hans-Georg Häusel. This model identifies seven different prototypical personality focuses (known as the Limbic® Types), which are based on scientific findings. These link people's value and emotion systems with their “emotional focus” and also values, motivations and (buying) behaviour. The limbic system, an area of the brain responsible for processing emotions, plays a crucial role in this, as emotions have a significant influence on our decisions. The Limbic® Office approach, as applied by Sedus, aims to help companies express their brand identity and personality consistently, authentically and convincingly in the design of their working spaces. Companies can use a questionnaire to determine their specific Limbic® office type. Colour concepts have been developed based on these findings and in cooperation with colour experts and the Nymphenburg Group, with the intention of applying them specifically to furnishing and design. This ensures that the brand identity is mirrored in the workplace as well.
