How can we successfully create spaces where people really flourish? How can we not only balance the diverse demands faced by the workplace, but also bring them into harmonious alignment? And how can we design environments that strengthen community and reconnect people with one another?

“In a hybrid society, we need places that take into account people’s diverse needs and bring them closer together again through a vibrant, inspiring work environment,” explains Ernst Holzapfel, Marketing Director at Sedus. “That’s why, in the third edition of our trend magazine LOOKBOOK, we set out to find some answers. We spoke with experts about the transformation of the workplace and how it influences the design of contemporary work settings. Our focus extends beyond European projects to include concepts from the USA, Canada, Mexico, and China – giving our readers internationally relevant perspectives and many new facets of workplace design to enjoy.”

LOOKBOOK N° 03: Connecting people

The “Hybrid Hospitality” chapter in the current edition of LOOKBOOK explores the fusion of traditional hotel services with coworking, coliving, and even student accommodation models. Alongside the presentation of two exciting concepts that elevate hybrid hospitality to a new level, an interview with internationally renowned design studio MAWD | March and White Design offers deeper insights into the trend’s impact on workstation design.

In “Point of View”, leading expert Kay Sargent discusses how to design neuro-inclusive workspaces that prioritise flexibility, belonging, and inclusion. In addition, we present six international coworking spaces that offer their communities a genuine perspective.

And in the “Materiality” chapter, Prof. Dr. Sascha Peters explains the impact of sustainable materials on the aesthetics, feel, and functionality of furniture, as well as their contribution to the ecological balance of modern offices.
