A total of 550 runners registered for the Sedus RUN in advance, with 483 ultimately taking to the starting line. From ambitious runners, Nordic walking enthusiasts or up-and-coming talent, the event was about sporting achievement - above all, it was about the shared experience. The enthusiasm on and off the course was palpable.
From 600 metres to 10 kilometres
The youngest participants kicked things off: 34 children took to the 600-metre circuit – and all of them successfully crossed the finish line. On the 1,200-metre route, there were 91 young runners. Due to the high turnout, the race even started with two sets of groups.

There was plenty of action on the longer distances too. A total of 103 Nordic walkers set off on the route, which was just under 5 kilometres long. Starting from the Sedus company premises, the course led across the sports ground towards the weir and the Leibstadt ferry landing stage, before following the embankment path back to the finish. A further 175 runners tackled the same route.
For a further 81 participants, the challenge was even greater. The 10-kilometre course initially headed towards the Rhine before crossing to the German side to the Rheinspitz in Albbruck. From there, participants followed the route along the Swiss side before returning to Dogern via the familiar stretch to the finish.

More than just a run
It became clear, if it wasn’t already, that the Sedus RUN is far more than just a sporting competition once the runners crossed the finish line. The company premises were transformed into a lively festival venue where runners, families, colleagues and spectators came together to round off the day.
A wide range of food and drink provided the perfect refreshments, whilst the Sedus Werksmusik provided musical entertainment and a great atmosphere. There were also plenty of prizes to be won in the raffle – including, of course, a number of Sedus chairs.
The large turnout of children and young people was particularly heart-warming. With a total of more than 100 young runners on the two Kids’ RUN routes, it was clear even among the younger generation just how much fun exercising together can be.

A big thank you goes to all the runners, volunteers, organisers and supporters who made this day possible – and, of course, to all the spectators whose encouragement provided extra motivation and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere.
Once again, the Sedus RUN has shown what can happen when people come together, get active and share a special day.
As an organiser, it fills me with joy to see how many people take part in the Sedus RUN with such enthusiasm. Thank you very much for your support.
