An institution - across age and departmental boundaries
Over the decades, Werksmusik has developed into a real institution in Sedus' corporate culture. Every fortnight, musicians from different departments and generations - from trainees to pensioners - meet in the rehearsal room on the factory premises in Dogern. The music unites the members across all age and professional boundaries and creates a very special community.
The repertoire ranges from classical brass band music to lively polkas and varied pop medleys. Once a year, the Sedus guest house in Hierholz hosts a rehearsal weekend, where, in addition to making music together, the focus is on camaraderie and togetherness.
The highlight of the company music year is the concert at the Sedus spring festival in Dogern, where the entire workforce can see the skills of their colleagues for themselves. Other performances take place as part of the Sedus RUN and at employee anniversary and farewell parties.
The opportunity to practise a shared hobby within the company is something very special. It shows how much music connects people and can enrich the working environment.
