Dogern, 11 June 2026

The 2025 financial year was marked by ongoing market transformation and the continued evolution of the Sedus Stoll Group’s business model. Dynamic market conditions created new opportunities while also demanding the willingness to adapt and build on established strengths. The Group used this environment to further strengthen its market position and expand strategically important business areas.

With revenue of approximately €216 million, the Sedus Stoll Group closed the 2025 financial year slightly below the previous year’s level. Despite challenging economic conditions, particularly across European office furniture markets, the Group performed well compared with the industry as a whole. “We are increasingly evolving from a furniture manufacturer into a holistic workplace partner,” says Daniel Kittner, Speaker of the Management Board of the Sedus Stoll Group. “The products, workplace concepts and strategic expertise of our three core brands work hand in hand, extending the focus beyond individual furniture solutions towards a comprehensive understanding of the workplace. Challenging market conditions also create opportunities to further develop business models, processes and services. Through the targeted expansion of strategically important market segments, we were able to further strengthen our position despite a demanding market environment.”

Three Core Brands, Three Perspectives, One Goal

Shaping the Workplace of Tomorrow: In 2025, Sedus focused on new forms of interaction, hybrid ways of working and the growing desire for meaningful human connection in the workplace. With a range of new solutions centred around the Work Café, the brand responded directly to these evolving needs while further expanding its product portfolio. In July 2025, Sedus also opened Sedus Hub West in Düsseldorf – a new destination where visitors can experience contemporary workplace concepts and new forms of collaboration first-hand. For Klöber, 2025 marked a significant milestone as the company celebrated its 90th anniversary. At the same time, the seating specialist strengthened its position in the premium interior segment with a new showroom at Design Post Cologne. Additional international visibility was gained through a partnership with Tarkett, with Klöber becoming part of Atelier Tarkett in Paris from spring 2025 onwards.

S³ Advice continued to expand the capabilities of its Smart Locker solution throughout 2025. Combining traditional storage functions with parcel handover, visitor management and asset management applications, the multifunctional system addresses the growing demand for flexible, digitally connected workplace environments.

Driving Measurable Climate Action

The Sedus Stoll Group reached further milestones in its climate strategy during 2025. In June, the Group officially committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aligning its climate ambitions with the 1.5°C pathway of the Paris Agreement. At the same time, Sedus Stoll Group continued to expand its climate compensation activities. For the past seven years, the Group has independently developed life cycle assessments for its products as a key tool for understanding and reducing indirect emissions. “This continuous investment in expertise and data quality enables us to define robust CO₂ targets for new developments and carry out comprehensive analyses across the entire product life cycle,” says Kittner. “Our established life cycle assessment methodology forms the foundation of our Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculations and supports strategic decisions in sustainability, product development and procurement.”

The results demonstrate that these efforts are delivering measurable progress. Over the past two years, the Sedus Stoll Group has reduced its overall Product Carbon Footprint by approximately 16%. Particularly significant improvements were achieved in the office swivel chair category, where average emissions were reduced from 82–84 kg CO₂ per chair to 73.2 kg CO₂ in 2025 – a reduction of more than 10%. “This progress is primarily the result of a consistent focus on carbon-conscious product development and the redesign of key product families,” Kittner explains. The Group has also expanded its activities in the area of climate compensation. Since June 2026, Sedus Stoll Group has been working with Klim, a platform that connects companies and farmers across the value chain to accelerate regenerative agriculture at scale. “Supporting regenerative agriculture is an important step in strengthening regional climate action,” says Kittner. “Klim helps farmers transition to regenerative farming practices that increase carbon storage in soils while simultaneously enhancing biodiversity and strengthening the long-term resilience of agricultural businesses.”

In January 2026, the Sedus Stoll Group also entered into a partnership with Wilderness International. Through this collaboration, the Group contributes to the long-term protection of the world's remaining primary forests by supporting the legally secured preservation of ecologically valuable and highly threatened wilderness areas.
