Tailored solutions for Cushman & Wakefield in Madrid

With the redesign of its Madrid office, Cushman & Wakefield has transformed its own working environment into a strategic showroom: a space that not only supports internal change but also serves as a tangible example for clients. An innovative working environment for around 150 employees has been created across approximately 1,700 m².

The aim of the design was to create a space that reflects the company’s values, expertise and vision – whilst also serving as an inspiring example for clients. The result is a forward-looking working environment that seamlessly combines comfort, quality and ergonomics to the highest standards.

Bespoke products for a variety of spatial configurations

Thanks to the high quality, impressive design, excellent value for money and comprehensive technical and professional support, Cushman & Wakefield selected furniture from Sedus alongside other suppliers.

It was a great pleasure for us to work hand in hand with the design and construction teams at Cushman & Wakefield to implement the refurbishment of their Madrid headquarters during the summer of 2025. Sedus was selected as the main supplier for office and lounge furniture, as well as for bespoke, collaborative workspaces.

Sedus has furnished a wide variety of areas within the premises, including:

Team workstation

The open-plan team workspaces are designed to encourage communication and collaboration among the predominantly on-site workforce. Using se:lab bench and se:lab twin desks, complemented by grand slam storage solutions with integrated planters and easy screen privacy screens, flexible yet structured work zones have been created for dynamic teams.

Special finishes, shapes and furniture

A distinctive feature of the Madrid site was its high degree of customisation. Many of the solutions developed for the project were specifically tailored to the design requirements set out by the Cushman & Wakefield team. In addition to standard products, numerous bespoke items were created – including special finishes, unusual shapes and custom-made furniture for different spatial configurations.

Close collaboration with the planning team made it possible to optimally combine technical requirements, design specifications and the integration of technologies. To this end, Sedus developed bespoke solutions that represent the highest level of craftsmanship, both technically and in terms of product development. Despite challenging bespoke solutions and a tight schedule, the project was successfully implemented.

The project had a very tight timeframe, which is why we had to closely coordinate our processes with the ongoing construction work. This is not a particularly comfortable situation for anyone involved – yet we were always able to count on the support of the C&W construction team to achieve this goal. And in the end, we did it! It’s always a pleasure to work with other teams, to learn from one another – and above all, to see the result of a job well done.

A turning point for corporate culture

The result is a working environment that goes far beyond mere functionality: it combines aesthetics, comfort and flexibility into a holistic concept, thus becoming a visible expression of a profound change in corporate culture. Modern ways of working are actively encouraged, whilst at the same time spaces are created that foster identity, strengthen interaction and contribute to greater well-being and productivity in the long term.
