While the rear view conveys a sense of dynamism and structure, the front invites you to take a seat with its open and welcoming design.

Upholstery

Comfortable upholstery creates a cosy, inviting character and offers a high level of comfort.
Upholstered look with subtle folds enhances the homely character.

Colour of the upholstery

The three upholstery covers can be configured independently of each other: seat upholstery, inner backrest upholstery and outer backrest upholstery.

Decorative seam

A stand-out detail is the all-round decorative seam with double-stitched seam line: both the inside and outside are made from the same fabric as the upholstery, while the yarn also matches the cover colour.

A benchmark in sustainability

With a high proportion of recycled materials, the conscious avoidance of conventional foams, and replaceable seat covers, se:cove sets new standards in sustainability. At the end of its life cycle, the lounge chair can be completely disassembled into its individual components. All parts can be separated by material type, enabling efficient recycling and a consistent return to the material cycle.

Sustainability in every phase – from development to recycling

As a consistent implementation of the Sedus Green Codex, se:cove achieves a remarkably low carbon footprint of just 30.4 kg CO₂ equivalent (version with wooden feet and Cyber upholstery). For comparison: this corresponds approximately to a 100 km journey in a diesel car.

Upholstery	– The backrest upholstery consists of a generously proportioned cushion, which is filled with hollow fibre balls (100% post-consumer) and sewn in a chamber structure – Seat upholstery: a comfortable, generously proportioned upholstery cushion in sandwich construction made of two different layers: bottom layer - foam, contour-cut, 50 mm thick; top layer - cushion filled with hollow fibre balls (100% post consumer) – Three independently configurable upholstery covers from the Sedus fabric collections are available: seat upholstery, inner backrest upholstery, outer backrest upholstery. Leather and imitation leather can also be used for the outer backrest upholstery. – Colour combinations are only possible within a fabric collection. Leather and imitation leather can be combined with each other and with all fabric collections – The covers are not glued or tacked in place, they are fully removable
Backrest	– A lightweight fabric, always black, is stretched on a black powder-coated tubular steel frame, which serves as a support for the backrest upholstery
Seat	– Solid beech frame, on which an elastic membrane (59% recycled content), always black, is stretched, forming a synergy with the seat cushion to provide the user with optimum comfort when sitting down
Frame	– Aluminium frame: four individual legs made of cast aluminium, powder-coated – Wood frame: four individual legs made of solid wood
Glides	– Reversible glides: plastic & felt glides; on delivery, plastic glides are fitted.
Cushions	– Separate decorative cushion - fully covered with double-stitched seam line all around, filling consists of hollow fibre balls made of 100% recycled polyester
