CIC Lagny: A modern bank branch designed to promote focus and collaboration

Following the complete renovation of its bank branch in Lagny, CIC has created a modern workplace that is both functional and welcoming. Spanning approximately 500 square metres across three floors, a contemporary work environment has been designed to accommodate 40 employees – a space that meets the demands of a modern bank while enhancing the site’s appeal to prospective talent.

The interior, which was several years old, has been completely redesigned. The design focused on creating bright, open, and ergonomic spaces that, above all, promote concentration while offering areas dedicated to collaboration and communication. The palette of colours and materials, featuring shades of blue and wood, creates a calm and refined atmosphere with a clean, minimalist aesthetic.

In collaboration with the architectural firm A’Trait, Sedus has thus created a holistic work environment that fully embodies the principles of modern workplaces. Employees primarily work on-site and now benefit from increased access to natural light, more spacious areas, and ergonomic solutions that support wellbeing throughout the working day.

Single workstation

The individual workstations were designed to support concentration. The desks from the get together range enable ergonomic work and have been complemented by se:flex swivel chairs, which promote dynamic sitting thanks to their flexible backrest. The grand slam cabinet solutions offer additional storage space which integrate seamlessly into the overall design concept.

Team workstation

Team work areas encourage spontaneous interactions while enabling effective collaboration. With se:lab twin, modern bench-style workstations were created that combine comfort and ergonomics. Paired with the ergonomic se:flex swivel chairs, they offer a high level of comfort for daily use. Here too, grand slam storage solutions ensure order and promote a clear spatial structure. The design particularly supports collaborative work styles while offering sufficient space for tasks requiring concentration.

Meeting & seminar rooms

The meeting rooms were designed to be versatile and flexible to accommodate a wide range of meeting formats. The mastermind conference table serves as the centrepiece for meetings and workshops and impresses with its sleek design and high functionality. Flexible swivel chairs further support agile meetings and working situations. on spot cosy armchairs, se:assist tables, and grand slam storage solutions also encourage informal conversations, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Quiet areas & retreats

To give staff the opportunity to take short breaks or focus on individual work, dedicated quiet spaces have been thoughtfully integrated into the workspace. The extremely comfortable se:living sofas and side tables create a pleasant atmosphere and encourage informal exchanges or short breaks. These spaces are complemented by se:dot stools, which can be used flexibly and lend the spaces a touch of lightness.

CIC’s relaxation areas convey a sense of openness and modernity. The combination of se:living, se:works, and se:assist furniture creates an atmosphere that is both warm and professional. The carefully coordinated colour palette, which highlights blue and wood elements, is consistently reflected throughout all spaces and underscores the quality of the interior design.

Enthusiasm for the new work environment

Staff feedback on the new work environment has been overwhelmingly positive. The sense of space, the abundance of natural light, and the ergonomic, height-adjustable workstations were particularly appreciated.

Cooperation among all project stakeholders was equally successful.

Thanks to the long-standing partnership between Sedus and the client, decisions were made efficiently and the design concept was implemented consistently.
