Freedom instead of a fixed place
The concept centres on employee autonomy. Fixed and assigned desks are a thing of the past. Instead, employees choose where and how they want to work each day – depending on the task, how they feel or their own preferences.
Whether it's concentrated individual work, creative brainstorming, formal meetings or informal exchanges: a variety of flexible spaces offer the right setting for every activity. The office thus becomes a platform that intelligently supports different working modes.

One building, many possibilities
With the aim of bringing all areas of the company together in one location, an open, versatile and integrative working environment was created. At the same time, the new headquarters had to respond to fluctuating attendance – a typical challenge of hybrid working models.
The answer to this is a well-designed spatial structure that promotes productive work as well as movement and interaction. The spaces are organised in such a way that they allow for smooth transitions between different activities. A change of perspective, short distances and conscious changes of location support concentration and well-being in everyday working life.

Spaces without a fixed function
A key feature of the project is its radical flexibility. The rooms are not rigidly defined, but adapt to changing requirements. Many areas support multiple types of use simultaneously – they intelligently combine collaborative and individual forms of work.
For tasks requiring a high level of concentration, there are screened-off rooms and strategically placed telephone booths that provide visual and acoustic privacy. Activities requiring moderate focus – such as reading or short writing tasks – take place in informal zones with soft seating and high backrests. These areas are also suitable for spontaneous meetings or short breaks.
Small focus spots along corridors or near to meeting rooms make it easy to switch between teamwork and individual concentration. Even the cafeteria becomes a place for individuals to work outside peak hours. The offering is complemented by a publicly accessible company library – a quiet, inspiring retreat for concentrated work.

The office as part of the city
The headquarters are located in the heart of a newly designed public square and deliberately open up to the city. In addition to internal work areas, the building houses a cafeteria, a 200-seat auditorium, exhibition spaces for events and a daycare centre that is also open to the local population.
In this way, Gruppo CAP is expanding the role of the office: it is not only a place of work, but also a social and cultural meeting place.

A model for sustainable working environments
The project impressively demonstrates how thoughtful design, a clear functional structure and a variety of spaces can provide concrete answers to the needs of modern working cultures.
Autonomy, flexibility and choice are not just proclaimed here, but made tangible in the space – an inspiring example of how focus can work in today's office.
